We hope you will enjoy our blog. We love food — eating it, cooking it, talking about it – and so that is what this is. It is what we essentially do with each other – Look what I made! Look what I ate! – and we are now just opening up our food musings to a larger audience and conversation. We will share recipes, but we want to be clear that these are largely not our own. We will give credit whenever possible and we will note how we have tinkered with them or the changes we have made. We also apologize to the vegetarians and vegans out there and folks with food issues and allergies. Some of the things we showcase and discuss will work for you but we are both carnivores with no food restrictions in our diet so that will be reflected in our cooking. There is also no calorie counting going on here. We use lots of fresh, healthy ingredients and very few processed or packaged items, but we also don’t shy away from butter, cream and sugar. We are big believers in making things from scratch, but we are not averse to a good shortcut here or a time-saving measure there. Most of all, we each have our own style and strength and we hope we will inspire you to find or hone yours as well. Happy cooking!
